if he was giving valid advice, disagreed and said why he thought he was right and I or others were wrong. With genuine back up material... that would not be a problem


The problem is people like him are using the report system to remove posts and posters.


The effect when those people like me are trying to tell teens and others action that they must take, that if they do not in the next day or even a few hours...

Or blocked, posts removed, accounts suspended is much like someone blocking an ambulance trying to get to a seriously injured person or get that person to the hospital.

Or attacking paramedics so the person in need does not get the help at all or in time or take actions which will destroy lives.


Look at the kinds of questions in this area.

Anyways "Avatar", I will not report this question, but will in fact address it. Do you honestly think that calling people out is the way to go about this? This is an OPINION site. Things that people ask, whether it be about pregnancy, suicide, or whatever......none of us here (or very few) are doctors, psychologists, or in the position to really help these people. We are all regular people who give our opinions.



With that being said, I think that if you came on here and had some questions that were well thought out, with proper grammar and spelling, instead of cutting and pasting the same links (many which don't even work anymore!), then maybe people would take you more seriously.



Honestly, just trying to read this, you lost me. It's not a well thought out argument, thus it is invalid. The only thing I got out of it was that you called out other users on this site (which is clearly, according to TOS illegal). However, as I said, I'm not reporting this. It's unfair for you to call out other users because quite frankly, I'm sure that many people on here are sick of seeing the same thing. The questions that you copy and paste do not make much sense. I don't know if there is some kind of language barrier or what it is, but I read a paragraph and my brain goes "Huh?" And I'm by no means a foolish person. I just think if you want to make an argument for or against something, it should be something that we can all understand.



With that being said, it is hard to believe that you talk about people reporting you when you have done much of the same. Several of your contacts have contacted me with the information that you have alerted them to report me and any others, no matter what we do. I think that's nonsense. This is an OPINION site and due to the fact that YA has no involvement in what gets a violation, many others on this site are being unfairly reported. I have gotten three violations too, because there are users who don't like me personally. Guess what? I'm not here for that. I am here to get my point across, and I feel I do a good job. Unfortunatley, not many people can handle that. In your case, you post multiple questions that no one can understand. Make it clear, to the point, and maybe people will start listening and quit reporting.

Perhaps a bit melodramatic. I understand that there are people in need of help on here and I fully believe that those willing to give good sound advice should be able to while those giving harmful advice should be reported. I have yet to see a post that tried to help that was then deleted, if you have an example I'd be glad to hear it. I truly don't think anyone has bad intentions when they report, and personally I've yet to see otherwise.

I know that our rates of certain STD's are higher than anywhere else in the world, because part of what I get paid for is to know these things. But putting the government in charge of peoples' basic health decisions is NOT going to solve that problem.The same goes for sex education. There are too many religious and civil liberties groups which are active here for a system like the Dutch or British system of sex ed to work. Plus, the Dutch system was designed around the fact that their form of goverment is a monarchy- something we are not and never will be. We didn't fight the Revolutionary War for no reason, Avatar. Holland is also a country which is less than a third the size of the US, and has a much smaller population base. By advocating what you are, you are trying to fit a square peg into a very tight, round hole.



As far as my reason for coming here to answer questions- I do that because this is one of the few columns on YA where people ask questions which relate to what I do professionally. I have been a member of YA for almost a year now ( I joined last February) and I initially started out in the Horse Racing section, because at that time, the Horses section didn't exist yet. I was one of the people who pushed YA hard to give those who loved and rode horses, but were not necessarily involved in racing, a separate section of their own. It took almost 6 months, and a lengthy e-mail and letter campaign by me and several other people, before our request was finally granted. During that time, I earned and held the "top contributor" title for a while- but after a time, I got a bit bored with only answering horse questions and decided to branch out. After doing some browsing, I found this section. NO, this is not the only place I answer questions in- I actually go to many other columns, which is why I don't have the "top contributor" label in any one of them any more. However, even given all of the places I answer questions in, you will notice that I have NEVER changed my profile due to a suspension, and that I am NOT a troll, or a person with multiple accounts. I have only ONE account, and this is it. The reason I started with horses is because prior to starting work in the coding field 8 years ago, I was a horse professional for over 20 years. I have a strong working knowledge of equine first aid and veterinary medicine, and I worked mainly on the management side of that business. I also hold instructor's credentials, and have taught riding for several years to both kids and adults. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge, Avatar, and I don't appreciate someone like you coming along and telling me I am a troll, which isn't true, or telling me that I am stopping people from getting the help they need, which also isn't true.
