This depends very much on how old your friend is...

If you are 11-15, as "bad friend" as it may sound, you should tell thier parents. I know that sounds harsh, but sometimes you have to overlook feeling a little guilty to do what's best for your friend.

If you are 16+, I tend to think that parents have a lot less power at this point and going through them may just lead to your friend not having a place to call home anymore.

You could check with the health teacher at your school or see if your friend is willing to talk to a doctor first. They may be able to enlighten your friend to the dangers of getting pregnant too young.

IMHO, anything under 24 is too young...

A baby is not a cute accessory like a purse or a dog. It is a lifelong commitment. So many girls think they want a baby because they want it to love them, but don't realize that children are selfish by nature. They can't help it; they are simply not capable of worrying about anyone but themselves for several years. Your friend sounds like she is being really immature and not thinking about the big picture. Just keep sticking to your guns; no matter what she says to justify wanting a baby, do not give in and pretend to agree. You might just be the only voice of reason this girl is hearing. Let her know that she is your friend and you care about her, and that is why you will not let this slide.

Tell her to babysit some kids for a few days and that will change her mind. Heck, send her one of mine! If that doesn't change her mind, nothing else will. Tell her to get a job babysitting and get some hands on experience. It can't be just a couple of hours either. Kids are a handful.

If she doesn't want to listen to you, she is not going to and there is nothing you can do. Just hope that she listens to her child once she has it or she'll have many more problems in the future.

No offense but teenagers don't ever listen. Its not your fault, its completely hormonal. So all you can do is pray and try to lead her away from that lifestyle. Good luck and God bless!!
