Razr is a good one to get.
If you go through wal-mart's website, you can get a really good deal on phones. They actually load a website onto theirs called letstalk.com Hubby and I went through them to get our phones and we got them for free, plus a rebate credit of $50 per phone (that was enough to put towards the activation fee, but we failed to get the rebate form filled out in time). Granted you have to sign up for a 2 year service plan for whatever provider you choose, its still a good deal. They have a wide selection of phones.
My husband got the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic and I got the Black Razr (V3) I think, it was the latest version. I researched it for a while and I wanted that one because it has bluetooth tech, and you can use your own MP3's as ringtones (provided you get a bigger SD card to put in the thing). So do your research on what features you want on the phone, then go to the website to see if they have it. Heck, you may even be able to afford the new Juke.
One thing though, make sure you get one that has a sim card, that way its easier to sell the phone if you don't like it. The sim card is what gives you your access to your phone and its account. You can use that on different style phone that take it, so you're not locked into one specific model of phone.
I have a friend who changes his phone at least 3 times a year because he's so picky about the styles he likes. Companies like T-mobile typically use sim cards in their phones. I believe its only used on GSM networks. Places like Sprint use only CDMA networks...but I heard they are starting to move over. GSM was popular in Europe and Asia first, now its coming over to our side of the world.
