what is your opinion on beauty pageant and beauty queens?

i just asked a question about the miss california gay marriage thing and someone started to bash beauty queens
this is NOT a question about miss california or the comment
this is about beauty queens and pageants in general
what do you think about them?

Haha, yeah I agree! There isn't anything wrong with being beautiful, that person is obviously jealous & there a waste of space, there the ones truly judging on looks. They don't even know you, (I think). Just keep doing what your doing & ignore all the idiots who think there more ' superior ' & such. Not all beautiful people are stupid, not every blond is a ' dumb blond ' Hate that saying. Anyways, good luck. [:

I think I'm more on the side of the first guy...if you wanna do it fine, then do it. However, I'm very unimpressed by the beauty queens (or girls...and guys for that matter) that feel the need to tell the whole world you're beautiful...didn't anyone ever tell them beauty is in the eye of the beholder (I think some girls strive too hard to be a beauty queen and that's not true beauty!)...

I do pageants and iv'e won so many titles and I hate them! I think beauty pageants are so boring and I hate the smell... (hairspray and make-up) but in away I get forced im 14 now been doing it since I was 2... just saying I think they should'nt be for teens they should just be for kids teens rather be at the mall i use to enjoy doing them when I was younge but then I was getting angry because I was losing lol

i think its really unfair to call one women the prettiest.



it makes people self conscious, especially considering a lot of the "speeches" in the past have been, well, stupid.



im not going to say "ban it forever" but i think its a bit close-minded.

I live in england where it's kind of put down,

I HATE child padgents where they dye and put veneers on toddlers , it makes me feel ill,

when your a grown woman its your choice and if you like it go for it :] x
