Do you watch Degrassi?

Question

I just started watching, and damnnn it's amazing. I love it. But my friend told me all this stuff that happens later, and I'm sad! JT dies, Jimmy gets shot, Spinner gets cancer, Emma is anorexic..D:

BQ: What is your favorite episode of Degrassi?
I like the first one of the second season with Craig and his abusive dad.

I've seen every episode. There is no way I can just choose one. Even when I watch one episode, I get addicted to it & have to watch the one after that. I love it.



Did you watch the marathon today? I did. :)

Those episodes playing today were really old when everyone was really young. Like 7th & 8th grade. haha





My favorite person is Spinner. I really love him. He's been on the show FOREVER. From the fist season to the one now...like 8 years.





I cried when J.T. died. I really liked him too!

I do agree with most of the people on here. Once they got rid of the original cast (Ellie, Jimmy, Sean, Manny, Craig Emma, Paige,...all them) it became more lame.



I really miss those characters.



I also agree with the person below me that said the comment about the new girls and boys on the show.

They are all cute. At the beginning, Degrassi focused on average looking kids, not so much with the new episodes. I think that's why I liked it so much. It was relatable. They were'nt perfect and goregous looking either.



Degrassi is a great show worth watching. Especially the older epsiode up to 2007 or 2008.

I don't know where you're watching Degrassi, but JT, Jimmy, Spinner, Emma, Manny, Rick, Ellie, Marco, etc. are all from the older episodes of Degrassi the Next Generation.



I can't really remember any of the older episodes of Degrassi, but my favourite characters were JT, Marco and Spinner. From Degrassi High I liked Snake and Spike (Emma's parents, and from the even older Degrassi shows).



I don't really like watching the newer Degrassi episodes because it's really different from what Degrassi was supposed to be. The show was made to be more or less realistic with average-looking actors (they didn't put a lot of make-up on the actors either so you can see their pimples and stuff), and plots that were more realistic. Now it's kind of like any other show targeted at teens out there, with pretty-looking boys and girls living lives that are larger than life itself (sort of). And everyone pretty much looks and acts the same. It's just not as real as Degrassi High, Next Generation (before the new cast) and even Degrassi Junior High. Like, the kids used to get really angry and cuss each other out pretty much on the show. It's so soft now.



I still watch it though. (I know you told me not to bash, but... I just had something to say, and it's an opinion, right?). I've watched pretty much all of the episodes with the cast you're talking about, and the show is pretty good with that cast. Just a heads up that it gets kinda sucky after Emma and them graduate.

Degrassi used to be really amazing. Once all the original cast left, it started to get really lame, so I don't watch it any more. But I've seen all of the old episodes.



BQ: I liked pretty much all the ones with Ellie, Craig, and Marco. Especially the ones where Ellie starts and stops cutting. I was so glad when she got happy again. =)

BQ2: I loved Ellie and Marco especially. And Darcy, when she showed up.



(By the way, don't worry about most of the stuff that happens with Spinner and Emma. They end up fine in the end.)

I used to be OBSESSED with DeGrassi! But when they got new people about 2 years ago, it got

effed up. It just lost the true drama and heartbreak. But I think everything from the very beginning to the First season there was in '08 it's all superb !

I used to watch that show all the time. Loved Degrassi. I stopped watching when I didnt have cable any more but I remember how awesome it was. I was so sad when JT died. Felt bad for Liberty!

i like observing degrassi via fact they have characters that are sensible. The storylines are customarily sensible too, it relatively is in basic terms exciting to visual reveal unit somebody else's drama while it relatively isn't any longer yours, whether it relatively is in basic terms television.
