I think parents worry about their children equally, but for different reasons.
With daughters parents worry they will get drunk, have premarital sex, get knocked up, and ruin their lives as a single mother. Or worse yet be promiscuous: EVERY FATHERS' WORST NIGHTMARE!
With sons, they worry they will get drunk, do drugs, knock up some girl, crash the car, and die an early death.
Both seemed to keep my parents awake at night, and probably for good reason.

well i would have to say daughters because my mom goes nutts when i do something because i am a girl n she dont want me to end up pregnant or screw up my life and reputation and because girls get pregnant the guys dont and the guys can take care of them selfs more than girls if a guy gets a girl preganat he can work n he would help raise the baby but if a girl gets pregnant the guy can leave the girl n more girls get raped than guys and i dont understand but that is just how it is fathers are more protected of their daughters than their sons but of course parents worry about their sons too

I think they worry more for theyre daughters, because theyre hormones are very efficient, and they can fall in love in a second, but that man/boy could not be so in love with her...And if he hurts her by saying that he doesn't love her, the parents are making the girls feel better...The boys aren't so sentimental (generally speaking), because they're stronger than a girl...A girl is more sensible, cute, (I ayn't saying that boys aren't cute, but girls are cute because they stay more with they're parents, than with they're friends)

I asked my mom and she said,"It doesn't really matter, does it? We all show up, eat some pizza, and go home." I'm not sure what she meant by theat last bit, but I agree that parents generally worry the same for guys AND girls.

double standards. the son is told to be careful, but for the daughter it islike a jail. well sometimes. the mother is just worried that her girl may do something that may ruin her or that she may regret. girls can get pregnant, guys cant.

I agree they worry about both but they worry more about their daughter when she goes through relationships, and rapists that are around.
