Teens: Do you like going shopping with your parents?

Question

I want to as my mom if I can go shopping at the mall with her next time I see her. I haven't seen her in..Months, actually. Just talked to her on the phone.
She's busy with her job and the person she works for she can't visit us. It's fun going to the mall with her, plus she understands me better and is more open minded then my other relatives.

I don't see why a lot of kids don't like going shopping with their parents. Even if it's out to the grocery store I'm fine with it. Not so much getting dressed, getting out of the house and the aches of walking long distances for long periods of times, but the shopping part is fine.

Yeah... They have the money. Ha. I prefer shopping with them, I can get nicer stuff.



Plus a lot of the stores I shop at haate teenagers. They don't take you seriously if you're not with a parent.

Yeah, I love going shopping with my mom. Even grocery shopping. I like picking out things. The only problem is that my mom argue EVERY time we go to the mall. We get into huge arguments in the middle of the store and sometimes she storms out of the store if she's really pissed at me. And leaves me in there with the clothes that I was going to buy. Then I have to walk out of the store and look for her.



So yeah..I like going shopping with my mom, except when we get into arguments.

I don't mind grocery shopping with my parents, but I won't go just for fun. If they're picking me up from somewhere and need to get groceries on the way back, I won't complain.

I wouldn't go clothes shopping with my dad, because he doesn't buy me anything, and he doesn't like my style :P

I go clothes shopping with my mom from time to time, it's fine I guess, but I prefer clothes shopping with my friends. But if I want to spend time with her, I'd prefer going out to lunch or something.

Yeah, l always go food shopping with my dad as it is just me and him who live together, and when l go clothes shopping, he goes around the men's section and l go to the women's and we both get clothes. l don't really take long, l try on a few things whereas my dad takes ages looking and finding the size that fits him and that is it. He used to always moan at me because whatever clothes he picks for me, l do not like, but now he knows l am aware of what l like and l wear what l want.

Well, I am not a teen anymore but when I was, I hated it. It didn't mind going grocery shopping with them, but I hated and I still hate clothes shopping with them, especially my mom. She is always trying to get me to buy stuff that I don't even like, we end up getting mad at each other because our tastes are so different. Another thing, when she is trying clothes on she is so indecisive, you could tell her something looks good on her and she still keeps on asking for your opinion. My mom and my sister are so much alike (when it come to trying stuff on), it makes me mad lol. Hey I'm glad that at least once has a good shopping relationship with one of our parents.

I hate shopping with my parents. My mom hates shopping so she's always rushing me and I like to look at everything so that doesn't clash well. My dad insists that I can get a perfectly good shirt for $2 and pants for $4 at goodwill so to him everything is expensive. It gets on my nerves always hearing "why do you have to spend so much money, this stuff is too expensive you're wasting mom's money."

Clothes shopping with my dad is fun. Clothes shopping with my mom is annoying because she's convinced that halter tops (and many things close to it) are "innapropriate" for a girl my age. (I'm 13.) But whatever. I still love her, it's just that one minor setback...



I hate going grocery shopping with either of them. It moves so slowly. It's just... annoying. I could be doing other things with my valuable time. =]

No. My dad hates to shop and starts to walk in line within the ten minutes we get there so I just don't buy anything. Mom wants me to pick out what she likes not what I like.

I only like shopping with my parents. I dont know why but shopping with friends or by myself isnt the same kind of expierience. Shopping time for me is time to hang out with my mom/grandma :) and an added bonus us that they're the ones with the credit card :P

I NEVER go shopping with my dad. But whenever I do go with my mom, I like it because she pays for everything. Like usually I get $50 a week for shopping, and I save it up. But like when I'm with my mom she doesn't make me whip out my own cash. So I like that. But I don't like it because... I can't buy skimpy clothing, like everything has to be in dress code. Ahaha. So yeah.



Oh, I love going to Wal Mart and grocery shopping with my mom. Idk. I really don't care.. My mom isn't like embarrassing. I mean. Plus I love food! And why would I want to pay for my own tampons, vitamins, hair products, etc..

No. I'm a very slow shopper; I have to look at everything in the store at least once before I even consider buying anything. It's a long process, and my parents just get annoyed.

Yeah, I love shopping with my mom. I feel as if my friends have too much of an influence to what I buy if I just go with them. My mom gives me advice.

I love shopping with my parents, I don't get embarresed at all. I know that my time with them is precious and I'll probably regret not spending more time with them as I grow older. I goto the mall/ store with my parents, and I see other teens look at me like I'm crazy.



My dad talks like he's yelling to someone across the room, and everyone stares. I used to get so mad when everyone would stare at me & my family. I got used to it though.



All my friends are usually at the mall, but I like spending time with my family.

I love going shopping with my parents! My dad wouldn't be caught dead going clothes shopping with me but my mam loves it. For some reason, I've always loved grocery shopping with my parents and I still do it most weeks with them!
