1 ~ The Proposal

-- It's about a women who convinces her assitant to marry her. Otherwise, she is to be removed from the country. I like it because Sandra Bullock is my favorite actor. The movie is also hilarious and very sweet.

2 ~ Hitch

-- Is about a guy who acts as the dating doctor for men. He helps them get their women. I liked this movie because at some points, I was literally laughing so hard I was crying. Also, the whole plot was very original.

3 ~ Transformers 1 & 2

-- Its about a guy whose car turns into a robot. I liked these movies because they had a lot of action, but there were some scenes that were just too funny.

4 ~ A Walk To Remember

-- It's about this bad boy who falls in love with the preachers daughter, then learns that she is sick and helps her complete her bucket list. I liked this movie because even though it was unbelievably sappy, it was just to adorable. But be warned .. It is sad.

5 ~ The Perks of Being A Wallflower

-- This movie is about a shy boy starting high school. I liked this movie because I really related with the main character and the story captured my attention from the beginning without fault.

I swear people are copying me. I asked this question first. -.-

I can only think of one really: The Pursuit of Happyness.

BQ: What's it about? A man and his son's struggle with homelessness. He eventually becomes a stockbroker.

BQ2: Why do you love it so much? It's very inspirational and teaches that you should never give up on your dreams. If you want something, go and get it. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. Always hope and believe in yourself.

1. Titanic (James Cameron's version): Its about...well...if you don't know what Titanic's about, you're too young or you haven't lived.

2. Twister (the one with Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt): Again, if you haven't seen it, you're too young or you haven't lived.

3. Journey to the Center of the Earth (With Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutcherson): These seem to be speaking for themselves.

4. The Hunger Games: Who doesn't know what this is about?! :P

5. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince; Again. You're too young if you don't know what this is about.

BQ2: I have no idea why I love any of them, I've just become addicted to them. :)

1. Titanic- Well you probably have seen it, but it's about the sinking of the Titanic.

2. Disturbia- It's about this guy under house arrest during his summer, and he suspects his neighbour is a murderer, so he tries to prove it. it sounds like a comedy but its actually a thriller lol.

3. Catch Me If You Can- This guy pretends to be an airline pilot, lawyer, and doctor, while forging checks and avoiding police.

4. Dead Silence- Horror movie about this guy that tries to stop the wrath of this old lady and her dolls. Good twist at the end that made it worth watching.

Mine change often depending on my mood.

The 5 that come to mind now are -

1. The Shining (both original & remake) - The story is such a unique idea. A family living alone in a hotel. That alone is scary. Then add the history of the hotel, a father going mad & a mom trying to protect her child. It's just perfect.

2. Meet me in St. Louis- Judy Garland. That is all I have to say. lol Plus the music is wonderful. I love how the story is told through seasons.

3. Sybil (both original & remake)- I have a personal connection. That's all I will say now. But also it is about mental illness. I've had my struggles and come through. The book & movie came out at a time when mental illness was a shame. For someone to say they were in therapy was pretty much like saying I'm nuts. It took courage for the woman to allow her story to be told at a time like that. I admire her.

4. The Outsiders- The book and movie are just all around great. The story tells so much and still holds true today. Teens feels so divided just like SE felt years ago when she was a teen.

I'm blessed to say I've spoken often with SE Hinton on Twitter. She is a really sweet lady. We've talked about all kinds of things from not being a girly girl to writing to the love of books. I've also spoken a few times to the actor who played Pony Boy. He is now a grown man and a father. He is very funny and very sweet.

5. Nightmare on Elm Street (original) - The whole story is creepy. We all need sleep & we all dream. So the idea of having a monster kill you in your dream and you really die is just scary. We all have to sleep but if sleep means death . . . . what can you do? Very creative story.

I'm going to do my top 10 :)

1- Titanic

You say you're not that knowledgeable when it comes to movie, but I'm pretty sure you have seen this movie or at least heard about it (I know some people who's never seen it), it's a must-seen. Basically a love story between a poor guy and a rich girl on the famous ship that *spoiler alert* sank ;)

What I love about it is everything, it's a classic movie, but I really do love everything about it. Even after the 15th time I still cry :P

(Honest) Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6mMvBeEPT4

2- The Green Mile

It's an AMAZING movie about John Coffey, a man who is accused of raping and killing two little girls, and arrives on death row in a prison of Louisiana in the 1930's. However, he is shy, soft-spoken, and emotional, and he reveals extraordinary powers of healing.

It's a very emotional story and definitely a must-seen. The actors are amazing and their performances are breathtaking! I love Tom Hanks he's a great actor! The end also makes me cry.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctRK-4Vt7dA

3- The Godfather trilogy (especially the first two)

You probably also know what it is about, basically: Italian Mafia. But it's definitely the best mafia movie ever!

Why I love it? Well, I love mafia movies and I have Italian origins :P And the actors are great!

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sY1S34973zA

4- Fight Club

It's a bit complicated to explain haha, this is Imdb's summary: An insomniac office worker looking for a way to change his life crosses paths with a devil-may-care soap maker and they form an underground fight club that evolves into something much, much more...

I like it because the end makes the whole movie amazing! It's a bit complex at first but when you see it after you notice new things each times. I'm not a fan of Brad Pitt, but he and especially Edward Norton were great in it!

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8PRC3HbWqo

5- The Departed

Two men from opposite sides of the law are undercover within the Massachusetts State Police and the Irish mafia, but violence and bloodshed boil when discoveries are made, and the moles are dispatched to find out their enemy's identities.

I love it because it's from Martin Scorsese my favorite director, and Leonardo DiCaprio is one of my favorite actor, I won't qualify the movie as a must-seen though, it's just another great mafia story!

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGWvwjZ0eDc

6- The Prestige

This one is definitely a must-seen! It's about a rivalry between two magicians in the 19th century. They become ennemies after the wife of one of the magician's wife dies "accidentally" on the other magician's trick. They will try to sabotage each other and kill each other the whole movie (How lame my story sounds, but the movie is really great!).

Again, it's from Christopher Nolan, one of my favorite director, and Hgh Jackman and Christian Bale are two of my favorite actors, and they are brilliant in this movie!

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4gHCmTQDVI

7- Million Dollar Baby

Such a touching story about a woman who is determined to learn boxing, with a hardened trainer to become a professional. A strong relationship will be built between both of them until an unfortunate event happens :(

I love it because every character is touching, and the unfortunate event makes me angry every time.

And again, Clint Eastwood is one of my favorite actor/director and so is Morgan Freeman :P Defintely a must seen!

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCDZLsqwH28

8- The Pianist

Another sad movie, about a Jewish pianist in Europe who sruggles to survive during WWII. No need to add more to express how sad it is. Adrien Brody's performance was breathtaking!

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIRLLPa-j9o

9- The Notebook

It's one of my favorite Romantic movie. You probably already heard of it.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3G3fILPQAU

10- The Shawshank Redemption.

I think it's considered as one of the greatest movie of all time, it has 9.3/10 on Imdb (most of the movies I mentioned had around 8.5/10 btw :) )

Here's the storyline: Andy Dufresne is a young and successful banker whose life changes drastically when he is convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife and her lover. Set in the 1940's, the film shows how Andy, with the help of his friend Red, the prison entrepreneur, turns out to be a most unconventional prisoner.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hB3S9bIaco

I also would like to add the LOTR Trilogy, the Harry Potter series, the Dark Knight trilogy and the Star Wars series as well, I'm a huge fan :)

1) any of the three Lord of the Rings movies

-I think if you don't know what these are about then you must live under a rock haha

-they're just SO GOOD. Plus I'm in love with Orlando Bloom

2) Killers

-It's with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl...he is a former spy and has kept it a secret for her, but suddenly his past comes back to haunt him and the two of them have to stay safe. It's a romantic comedy with plenty of action.

-this is my go-to movie when I have a sleepover..my friends and I joke that we'll be watching it when we're 90!

3) Les Miserables

-This is a musical set after the French Revolution about a former convict that takes in an orphan and raises her as his own.

-It's a phenomenal movie. The singing is great, the acting is even better..plus Eddie Redmayne is gorgeous.

4) Finding Nemo

-It's a classic. A clownfish is taken and his father and another fish search the entire ocean for him.

-It's so quotable and just awesome.

5) Breaking Dawn, Part 2

-the last part of the Twilight Saga...basically Renesmee shows off and nearly gets everyone killed

-I'll probably get crap for this...but I loved this movie. The books were much better and they can't compare to Harry Potter, but this movie was very well done with all of the action sequences, plus the sorta-plot-twist is awesome

1. Titanic (1997)

2. The Outsiders

3. Friends with Benefits

4. A Haunted House

5. The Strangers

BQ; Titanic; I'm pretty sure that everyone knows what it's about. But I almost cried when I found out there wasn't a real Rose & Jack on the real Titanic ); lol

The Outsiders; "greasers" (poorer) vs "socs" (richer) & Johnny (Ralph Macchio) kills a soc.

Friends with Benefits; Mila Kunis's & Justin Timberlakes characters have been emotionally damaged and they think being friends with benefits won't cause any problems, but it does.

A haunted house; LOL OKAY. This movie like just came out & I swear it's the funniest thing ever. You HAVE to see it. It's like a funny parody of Paronormal Activity

The Strangers; three serial killers try to kill this couple in there summer home in the middle of the woods (idkk how to explain it)

BQ 2; Okay, so most of my reasons are because the guys are hott xD lol but there also REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD MOVIES

Titanic; LEONARDO DICAPRIO. I don't think I need to explain anymore.

The Outsiders; MATT DILLON

Friends with Benefits; Well Mila Kunis is my idol, & I just love the movie. It has a really cute ending. My favorite line:

"Why don't they make a movie about after the big kiss"

"They do. It's called porn" LOLOLOLOLOL

A Haunted House; It makes no sense whatsoever but it is seriously the funniest thing you'll ever see.

The Strangers; I love scary movies, but movies about ghosts don't really scare me considering its not as realistic as a stranger coming to your house in the middle of the night.

Im like a movie expert. Im the biggest movie geek you'll ever meet. Someone will be like "That's a good movie." Im like: "No, it wasn't the actors obvi never had a lesson in their life, they need to feel it because I didn't believe, the camera was shakey, what does this Taylor Swift song have to do with this movies theme?" I can go on & on.

But anyways.

1: Ferris Buellers Days Off (just added it when I saw it last night. I like it because the characters are just so lovable and funny and it's not your average movie and you can really relate to it and its actually funny. & not in the society's since of humor where teens just get drunk and had sex and then vomit on each other something.)

2: Easy A. I got to admit, I love my teen movie just like any teen would. But its not your average teen movie of evil girls picking on the prettier less popular one. Its like a modern day Scarlett Letter, and somethimes when people try to make a spin on a classic it fails (just like Oz will prolly & Planet of the Apes) But it was actually enjoyable. And it teaches a lesson at the end.

3: Billy Madison: It is one of those stupid idiotic movies. But its a genius stupid idiotic movie.

4: The Happening: I love the man who directs these movies. Its like a thriller scary movie, but now your typical, killer comes out and stabs you. Its different and it can actually REALLY happen one day & that's what makes it scary at the end.

5: Problem Child 2: The 2nd one is totally better because the kid has met his match and its not just him pulling pranks:

Ferris Buellers day off is about a kid who takes a day off school and does all this crazy stuff and ALMOST gets caught, but doesn't.

Easy A is about a girl who tells this girl she had a sex with a guy because she thinks they did, then the rumor gets out and everyones calling her a whore. But she embraces it and starts selling a rumor that she had sex or did "stuff" with guys hor money. Money for a sex rumor.

Billy Madison is about the son of a rich man who is a total idiot and his dad paid that his son would pass school. So like10 years later the son realizes that he didn't make it through school on his own. So he goes throuhgt 1st-12th grade all over again, in the classroom and such. And he makes friends with the kids, has crushes on the teachers, etc

The Happening is about the plants or something with the oxygen turning on humans and making us kill ourselves.

Problem Child 2 is the sequal to Problem Child 1. Basically about a trickster kid who plays pranks on everybody.

It Might Get Loud

Almost Famous

Ted

School Of Rock

The Silence Of The Lambs

BQ:

It Might Get Loud- it's guitarists (JImmy Page, The Edge, Jack White) talking about music and the electric guitar. it's an interesting and great documentary.

Almost Famous- its about a highschool guy who is a writer for Rolling Stone magazine and he gets to tour with a (made up) band. it's cool because the writer actually got to do that..but with actual bands like The Who and Led Zeppelin and more.

Ted- a stuffed bear who comes to life..i just think it's hilarious

School Of Rock- a guy who needs money, (he also wants to be in battle of the bands)and so he pretends to be his friend as a substitute teacher to get the money. he realises the students can play instruments. so he starts a rock band with them and teaches the students about rock n roll. and more stuff happens.

The Silence Of The Lambs-it's a psychological horror movie about a (made up) serial killer hannibal lector. he has to help a detective in training find the other serial killer buffalo bill who has a woman held captive. they are trying to find her before he kills her. and of course, way more stuff happens.

BQ:

It Might Get Loud- because it has Jimmy Page (of Led Zeppelin) in it. well that's one reason why i love it haha.

Almost Famous- it has great music in it and it's just a great movie.

Ted- because it's hilarious..also they quote a lyric from my favorite band which made me love it even more.

School Of Rock- it mentions a lot of great bands and it's fun.

The Silence Of The Lambs- i love horror movies and i think Anthony Hopkins did amazing in this one.

1. Titanic

2. Ghost

3. Matilda

4. Wargames

5. Abduction (It's hated by most people, but I like it).

BQ: 2 of them are love stories (Titanic and Ghost), one of them is about a girl who has a special ability to move things with her eyes (Matilda), one of them is about National Security/Computer Hacking (Wargames), and one is about a guy who finds out his parents aren't his real ones (Abduction).

BQ2: They are good movies. They never get old.

1. V for Vendetta - It's about a 'terrorist' in a mask and his attempts at revolution. I love it because i'm really into dystopian films, plus its set in England where i live, and Natalie Portman is loooovely :)

2. Heathers - It's a slightly darker 'Mean Girls'. I love it because its an 80s film (lush fashion), Christian Slater still manages to make me love him, and oh the 80s slang! 'What's your damage?' Lool

3. The Boat That Rocked - About a pirate radio ship in the 60s. I love it because the music is awesome, the cast is awesome and the fashion is awesome. And Midnight Mark... mmmmm

4. Borat - Essentially a mocking of america. I love it because it is brilliantly quotable, it pushes the boundaries, and it makes americans look dumb.

5. Four Lions - Spoof terrorist film. I love it because its classic english humour with classic asian humour mixed in. Its also really quotable and hilarious :)

It was so hard to pick 5!!!

-Bourne trilogy (sorry that's three!)- a man doesn't know who he is and is in trouble with the government

-October baby: about a girl who tries to find her birth mother who tried to abort her. Plus there's a cute love story!

-the princess bride (it's hilarious, but I can't explain it!)

1. Harry Potter series (counts as one movie in my book sorry) (2001-2011)

-I think everyone knows about HP by now. This is my favorite series in the world. It has such a good plot and the characters are love able. It teaches you about love, fighting for what you believe in, and to to be brave even in the darkest of times.

2. The Notebook (2004)

-laugh all you want, but I love this movie. It takes place in the 1940's in South Carolina. It's about two teens (both 17), Noah and Ally, who fall in love over the summer. Ally is a nice classy girl from a wealthy family. Noah is a sweet country boy who works at the lumber yard with barely any spare money for him and his dad. They spend the summer of 1940 together, spending almost every waking moment with each other. Ally's parents, on the other hand, are not happy about their relationship, for they want Ally to be with a wealthy boy instead, not "trash", as they call him. They are separated from each other once Ally has to leave for college in New York, leaving both of them heart broken. Noah wrote her one letter a day, every day for a year; all of them went unanswered. Noah then joined the war, fighting in Europe/North Africa (keep in mind that it's the 40's; right now it's WW2); Ally was in college and signed up to be a nurse for wounded soldiers. There she meets Lon, a nice, handsome, wealthy and classy young man; they fall in love and he proposes to Ally. Flash forward to 1945; the war is over and Noah spots Ally in Charleston. He sees her in a restaurant (I think it was that I forget) with Lon and is once again heartbroken. He then fixes up the house that they made love in 5 years ago, hoping that she would come back to him. When Ally is trying on her wedding dress, she sees Noah and the fixed house in the paper, causing her to faint. She goes and visits Noah, just so she could make sure that he was okay and patch things up. They eventually reconcile and make love again, even though Ally is engaged to Lon. Ally now screwed up big time and has to choose between Noah and Lon. Who will she choose? (No, Ally is not a wh*re, she's just confused.) I love this movie because of its plot and the actors played the parts well.

3. Tommy Boy (1995)

-Ah, the best Chris Farley movie ever! So sad that he's dead now. Tommy Callahan is a college grad coming back to his hometown of Sandusky, Ohio. His is next in line to own his dad's auto part factory. His dad is engaged to a young woman with a son Tommy's age. On the day of his father's wedding, Tommy's dad dies of a sudden heart attack. Tommy is now in charge of the factory, something that he really wasn't ready for just yet. Now he's destined to go on a journey across the country to sell auto parts to car companies, alongside his dad's assistant, Richard. Richard and Tommy don't really have the healthiest relationship, so the journey turns out to be one that neither one of them will ever forget. I love this movie because I've been watching it for as long as I can remember, the script is just hilarious, and who doesn't love Chris Farley?

4. Shrek (2001)

-An animated movie about a ogre named Shrek who's beloved swamp becomes infested with fairy tale creatures. The marooned ogre has to venture to the genius who put all of them there, Lord Farquaad, the tiny ruler of Duloc, a small kingdom in the fields. Shrek is sent, along with his new companion Donkey, a donkey, to rescue Princess Fiona, a princess locked in a tower guarded by a fire breathing dragon. Along the way back from the dragon's keep, Shrek and Fiona begin to fall in love with each other, but things are changed when Shrek misinterprets Fiona talking about him in a negative way. The rest of the story is for you to find out because I'll probably just give it away; sorry. :l

I really love this movie; again, I've been watching it since a young age. It's a very funny movie that shows that even ogres can have a heart.

5. The Hunger Games (2012)

-16 year old Katniss Everdeen is sent into The Hunger Games (THG), a reality show where 1 boy and 1 girl from each district of the country Panem must fight to the death in a gladiator-like method. Only one victor wins. Katniss must now think of how she is going to survive this. I love this movie because Katniss is brave and a good leader. The plot is also well put together.
