Teens are in a hurry to grow up. They want their parents out of their lifes and to mind their own business-but what they don't realize is this; Parents ARE responsible until they are 18 so it IS their business. They want to act like adults but they aren't mature enough, so they do stupid things like get pregnant. They aren't educated enough about birth control and making smart life decisions. Most teens don't realize that life doesn't end at high school. They don't realize that things keep going after that...it's true. How do they think all the "old" people got here? They don't know--never thought about it! LOL. There are the few out there who plan it but mostly those girls are just looking for unconditional love because they don't get it from their parents.

first most teens are not well informed enough about it. lets dispell some myths.

"rythym" or he pulls out ahead of time.wont work because some drops of very potent semen can be at the head from the moment of arousal and even if for some reson it was not that kind of control would take a great deal of concentation and experiance.

"the pill,the patch and like methods" a young womans body is going through tremendous physical changes even with adult women its not 100% efective and effects everyones system differently and many "failures" are from simple misuse.these methods must be used exactly as prescribed to be effetive. late or missed doses a path not on quite right or falling off or anythig that efects the drugs interaction with your system can make it fail.

"you cant get pregnant right before/after/during your period" wrong! every womans fertilty is different.bottom line, sperm meets egg and your a mommy.dont go by your cycle.

"doggie style, legs over head ect. ect.wont get you pregnant" do i even have to adress this one? no posistion prevents pregnancy.

same with in thh cold on a mountain during a full moon in water the list goes on and on.the truth...the tinyest amont of semen contacts your vagina and you cold be changing diapers soon.

"aunt so&so's homebrew" no home remedy or antient concoction is known to be reliable birth control,same for prayer,wishes on a star ect. biology trumps them all.

"condoms" good but not foolproof.they must be of good qaulity fit well be put on right and monitered during intercourse.consult a heath care professinal about these things if you want this method to work.

"boys lie lie lie!!!!" i no what im doing i wont get you pregnant i shoot blanks ill love you forever and raise it with you if you do, and the 10,000 other lines i have not thougt of.ladies when a boys hormones start flowing his brain is just along for the ride.yes even your guy with the so cute *** the great smile and the oh so honest pledge of his love for you.unless of curse he dosent have a penis.otherwise biology wins.



also remember there is no way for anyone to be sure the one thier with does not have an STD without medical testing.That goes for HIV AIDS Herpes Gohnarea Syphilis Hepatitis and any i forgot,NO SURE WAY.



Well didnt i make sex sound great.well it can be when its with the right person at the right time in your life.Waiting is not so bad.but if you absouluty refuse to wait PLEASE find an adult you can trust to talk to about it and protect yourself.

sometimes teens get pregnant because they think that they are grownup enough to raise a child, but what they dont remember is why have a kid when your still a kid yourself. I think that there is no actually reason why teens get pregnant, sometimes it just happens from a condom breaking, but you'll never know.

Education starts at home I say. If parents sat with there kids and explained to them the consequences of having sex instead of just prohibiting it there would be a difference. Parents must let them know that they don't approve of it but that if they feel like they want to at least use protection. If they are going to do it they will no matter what, so why not make sure they're protected.

They want to show their parents that they can handle a baby, so they run off, have sex, and see if a baby pops out. If not, they do it all over again. They try to get pregnant

They get pregnant because young teenage boys sometimes get overwhelmed with lust for their teen girlfriends so they don't use condoms.

i go to a school where i will see at least 10 pregnant girls a month. thats a lot, considering theyre different girls each time.

a lot of them dont think they can get pregnant. some of them are just oblivious to the consequences. and some of them even know theyre getting pregnant and do it just to rebel [whether its against theyre b/f or parents..]

Huh.... good question, Teens do not have control over their emotions. Uncontrolled emotions lead to haste decisions, later u know what happens... :-)

Because they have to much time on their hands, and no supervision..and they aren't careful enough, they get to caught up in the moment or make excuses for not using protection...
