How Can I Persuade My Dad To Unblock Some Sites? 10 POINTS! :D?

well, I don't know if you have heard of K9 Web protection. But basically, my dad installed it onto my laptop and it blocks "bad" things and categorizes them in certain categories. And the category that I want him to unblock is "personal pages and blogs".

This is because, when I search for normal things for my work etc and information, and I click on a harmless site with no adult content or spyware etc, it just blocks it! when the website is perfectly fine! i get really frustrated when this happens. I asked my dad if he could unblock that category, and he said "ahh, no, it's okay, if you want to go on a site for your work and it blocks it, just tell me and I'll unblock it for you."

But the thing is, I hate asking him to unblock things, cause he takes really long, and most of the time he's too busy to even do it and he gets annoyed, and I need him to unblock a certain website there and then.

So, it's much easier for him just to unblock the whole category!

any advice or tips on how to persuade him to unblock it? thanks! :)

Ew yeah my dad had k9 when I was 13. He would just unblock stuff for me and like you it took forever or he was busy. Tell him that you hate having to bug him all the time when it blocks harmless sites. It's so much simpler to just unblock the category that's probably harmless anyway. If he doesn't go for it, try to figure out the password when he types it in or uninstall it. Good luck

Don't bother. Install a keylogger and ask him to unblock any website. A keylogger will let you see the password for yourself. Now you can just unblock them yourself:) There are several out there, so if the one below doesn't work, just keep Googling. If it wants to make you pay, don't do it, just use the free trial if there is one or look for another.

Access safe mode when booting the computer (by pressing F8) from there you can surf the internet unobstructed and can probably remove the K( Web protection. If not you might want to obtain a Linux live CD at: http://www.livecdlist.com/.
