Legit really bothers me because I do not think half of the know what legitimate means.
Awk bothers me even more because really are you that lazy so you can't say the last syllable?

I have no problem with it. I think some people obsess over grammar and how people shound speak sometimes. Sure, if your at work talking with your boss, or your teacher or someone along those lines, you should talk properly. But around your friends I really don't see the problem.

Well Legit doesn't bother me so much. I say legit. On the other hand, I know what legitimate means. As for awk, people I know say that too and I'm with you. It pisses me off SO MUCH. That you're THAT goddamn lazy. So to answer your question yes.

They definitely aren't unique to your region, let alone your school.

Just legit, not the others. Yeah, half of them really don't know what "legitimate" means. I used it in a sentence once, and one of the kids who says "legit" the most goes and says to me, "Wait, what does legitimate mean?"

i say legit and awk all the time hahaha. actually i saw awkward outloud but when i'm texting sometimes i just write awk because i dont feel like typing it haha. but i say legit allll the time....it's kinda a legit issue ;)

Nobody haha. I think it's because i like in the UK and those words, especially legit are really american so you don't hear anyone say them over here, at least not in the part where i live.

All the stupid stuck up people at my school band together, and they all say "Legit".



They use it so much, I don't even think they know what the word means.

Legit irritates the crap out of me! I even catch myself using it! Those crazy Virginians have me using their lingo now. And people say siced here too, that irritates me along with swag. They just randomly say swag? What's your deal? Get off your high horse and move on!

People who say the word "legit" in ever other sentence have no idea what it means "That show was legit" "Dude, that project is totally legit" "Man that car is legit"(WHY WOULDN"T IT BE, MORON) People have come to the conclusion that legit means (Literally or awesome), It means LEGAL!
